Ladies Forum Activities
Ladies Forum 2019-20
Mrs Harinakshi Shetty Dept. of English is the convenor of Ladies Forum. Mrs. Bhairavi Pandya, Dept of Hindi and Mrs. Madhulika Bhat, Dept. of Commerce are the staff advisors. Ms. Suheba, Ms. Rashmitha, Ms. Shama are the student secretaries.
- Ladies forum was inaugurated on 28th August 2019 by Mrs.Sharika Rai, Asst.Professor, SDM Law college, Mangalore. She gave a talk on ‘Crime against Women‘ Craft exhibition was held on 26th September, 2019 to encourage the creativity of the students.
- Extension and outreach programme in association with Anti-Women Harassment Cell was conducted on 5th October 2010 at Vasudevakripa Vidyamandira. Six students of the forum made a presentation and created awareness about ‘Good touch and Bad touch’
- The forum conducted activities like Elocution, Craftwork, Mehandi, paintings, Rangoli.
Ladies Forum 2018-19
Ladies Forum was inaugurated on 6th August 2018 by Prof. Anuradha Shetty, H.O.D Rural Development and Foundation Course, Roshini Nilaya,Mangalore. She gave a talk on ‘Gender Sensitization towards Effective Management of Various Exploitation of Women’ Mrs. Vasantha Ravi Prakash, Dept. of English is the convener of the forum. Dr. Sujaya,Dept. of Hindi and Miss Meenakshi, Dept.of Commerce are the Staff Advisors. Miss Shabnam of II B.Com A is the student secretary of the forum. On 10th January 2019 Ms. Divya & Ms. Angel from Adarsh Hospital, Udupi gave a talk on ‘Anemeia’. 5 students of the forum participated in a variety entertainment program arranged by Manipal Radio Station Activities such as debates, Jwellery/ GreetingCards/Gift Bags making etc. were conducted by the forum.
Ladies Forum 2017-18
Mrs. Vasantha Raviprakash, lecturer, Dept.of English is the convener of the association. Mrs. Shanti Lewis, H.O.D., Dept. of English. Mrs. Bhairavi Pandya, lecturer, Dept. of Hindi. Mrs Dhanya, lecturer, Dept. of Statistics are the staff advisors. Miss Rachana of III B.Com. ‘A’ is the student secretary of the association. The activities of the Ladies Forum was inaugurated on the 24th, July by Nritya Vidushi Dr. Manjari Chandra.
Activities :
• Every Wednesday a meeting was held.
• On 9th August, 2017, Sri Raksha of I B.Sc. demonstrated the making of silk thread bangles.
• On 13th January 2018, 28 students of the Ladies Forum participated in Vande Mataram Recitation, A World Record event at Malpe Beach.
• Demonstration of Diya painting, mat making, pillow making, paper flower making was conducted.
